To SC and Miller

On Saturday June 4th this blog  went live to  discuss and express our concerns over what is happening at PVRS. See we have a SC who ignores  us .We  have had over  8000 people to visit this blog  . So for those of you who think we should  stop the majority has it that we go forward.

We all understand  that with a new Administration comes changes  but those changes are usually  constructive  ones not destructive .
Losing  4 major long time employees all within a few months , is a red flag  we have a problem brewing .
We have seen a School Committee dismiss the parents, children and teacher as if  they weren't in the room. .
We have been talked down to by this committee which is not only  unprofessional but an embarrassment to our schools.
Teachers have tried to talk to them and address what is happening to them by Miller only to be dismissed as well . These teachers are being  treated like they  are disposable commodities . This is NOT acceptable behavior  by this SC,
They have let Miller run amuck and in the process we have  lost some very valuable people . Although they all meant something to us all  for many  Mike Duprey was the last straw.
\
From verbal abuse , lying, misrepresenting yourself, bullying to threatening , this is NOT a positive role as a superintendent    nor an acceptable  one for PVRS.

So heres our message 8000 people say we  are going nowhere nor are we gonna back down.  We will be watching .

Just got a message asking  about  doing a recall . Should we?

Have a GREAT SUMMER EVERYONE .  See you all in the new school season.

  1. I think a recall is exactly what we need and the only solution to these problems.
Mr Lyman seems to be the perfect choice to head up this recall.

  2. Letters to the editors could help your efforts and when it is in the media for a recall coming the public starts to listen. Most who don't have children in the system have no idea of whats going on if they aren't told.

Recalls worked in Templeton very well.
Our town has had multi recalls and if a mistake is made the person can be voted back in the same year after the truth comes out.
Board of health,Selectmen, and others are in reach if they need to be removed.

  3. From the look of things they might want to rein her in before they lose school choice . More parents are looking at Brattleboro than Pioneer . Alot had to do this year because of the loss of Duprey. I also think a recall is due .This SC is lost in space somewhere.

  4. I am thrilled to finally see our district school committee being called out. Pat needs to go. No one should ever be a committee chair for over four decades. But also, Dayle needed to go. She was just collecting a paycheck. She left because she was finally being asked the hard questions. Bill also needed to go because he was a bully. It's time for transparency and technological competence from the school committee and it's time for collaboration between all town Boards and committees. This is no longer a farm community where education doesn't matter. Let's fund our schools appropriately and hire the best of the best. I have never met Ms. Miller, so I cannot comment on her competence. But I am overjoyed to see change! (P.S. It would help your cause if you had someone proofread these blog posts, only so that misspellings would be caught before being published.)

    1. I find it difficult to accept most of your statements . Dayle was a wonderful Superintendent who took a great interest in the kids and supported the teachers. I do not see why you stated this about Bill he was far from a bully, however our new Superintendent is. I see what your doing above and so will others. Nice try.
