Urgent Alert for PVRS parents

This was just posted on Facebook by a parent

My oldest son just called me and said his school is searching kids cars for drugs. I do not agree with this without a parent being there. This is bullshit.

  1. More than that is happening . Kids are being violated and possibly drug tested. Way to go Ruthless. Its time parents start fighting back.

  2. Teen, drugs,& driving cars I don't have a problem with this at all. If you're innocent laugh it off if drugs are found lives may have been saved hopefully a lesson learned. Alcohol and Drugs (including over the counter drugs) impair ability to drive and make good decisions.

  3. I would agree , however to put the whole school on lock down for a certain few is wrong and upsets the kids and teachers. It was shown today it was a certain few , but it disrupted the whole school. This was handled very poorly .

    1. I think they are talking about when lockers, back packs and cars were being were being searched. Also, so much more is happening that parents are not aware of.An HR person is following girls into the girls bathroom. Completely inappropriate.

    2. My daughter came home telling me about a woman following the girls into the bathroom. She was very uncomfortable with the whole situation. She asked why she can't have privacy while using the bathroom and that's just not right for them to feel like that. As far as searching lockers, well they're school property. I wouldn't think searching cars would be okay unless parents were called and said it was okay or were present. That's personal property. And having to sit in the office all day because you refused to have a backpack searched isn't necessarily okay either. It's making kids miss out on classes and learning new material, which would be the whole point of school...

    3. The school was never in a physical lockdown, but it is like a prison.

  5. I was here since 7th grade and I no longer feel this is our school or safe here anymore . I agree its become less of a school and more of a prison.I am actually thinking of quitting school and going for a GED. Were all stressed and uncomfortable and I am sick of feeling this way no way I can last a few more years. When the bullies become the ones in charge its time to go.
